How are the divisions broken up?
Teams will be placed into divisions based upon age, gender and playing experience. Any team or player determined by the Tournament Director to have falsified age or skill level will be dismissed from the tournament. Youth teams that span more than one age group will be placed into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team. The tournament administration will make every effort to place teams into divisions with similar players.
Timeline of the week before your event:
Monday
- Registration Deadline (5:00pm)
Friday - Pre-event Team Check In and Packet Pick-Up (information can be found by following the link for the city you're playing in - if it's not posted yet, it will be updated soon!) *Proof of age is not required at the check-in, however you will need to carry proof of age (birth certificate, driver's license, passport, etc.) for each player at all times throughout the event. At the Team Check In, you will receive your game schedules, sponsor gifts, and rules of the game.
Saturday/Sunday - Play Football!
Who needs to come to the pre-event Team Check In?
Only one member from each team and/or coach must attend the pre-event check-in to pick-up the team's schedule/rules/t-shirts/and sponsor give-aways.
Can I call the pre-event Team Check In location to see when my game is?
No - most pre-event Team Check In locations are only hosting our pre-event Team Check In and Packet Pick-Up and therefore don't know this information. Therefore, we can't allow teams to call in to check-in.
Can I call the Let It Fly main office to see when my game is?
No - game schedules will only be available at the pre-event Team Check In site.
Are numbers on jerseys required?
No, all players must wear similar team shirts (same color) during play and each team must bring both a light and dark colored shirt. If both teams are wearing the same color, the home team (one appearing first on the schedule) must change to their alternate shirt/jersey.
Can I request a specific time to play?
Unfortunately, we can't accommodate this type of request. NO SCHEDULING REQUESTS ARE GUARANTEED!
Can I change my roster after I am registered?
Yes, you can adjust your roster as long as you have not played your first game. You may turn in roster changes at the pre-event packet pick-up or at the Headquarters Tent the day of the event (before your first game) by filling out a Player Addition Form. You may pick up a Player Addition Form at the Pre-Event or at the event, or you may download this form from our website (www.letitfly.org) or by clicking on the "Forms" link.
What is the refund policy?
Entry fees are non-refundable before or after registration deadline. A cancellation by you before the entry deadline will result in you being granted a credit for use in an alternate tournament. Otherwise, no credits or refunds will be granted. This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations arising from inclement weather, personal scheduling conflicts and inability to make a tournament. In case of inclement weather, the Event Director reserves the right to reduce the number of scheduled games and/or the time of games. If you have questions about this, feel free to contact us at 888.618.7108
What if a team already has my team name?
If there is already a team with the team name that you desired, you will need to change it in some way - whether it's with a "2" behind it or adding another word to it. If the Let It Fly staff cannot get a hold of your team, we have the liberty to change your team name as necessary.
